Who Are We?

Incorporated in 2013, NiaImani CHOICES is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit community based organization dedicated to providing grassroots education and outreach services to disadvantaged residents of communities in Maryland and surrounding states. We know many health disparities exist within our communities because of the lack of knowledge.

NiaImani CHOICES aims to provide linkages to existing and new high-quality health information and resources to enable our neighbors to experience better and healthier quality lives.

NiaImani CHOICES is dedicated to serving vulnerable populations including women and children, the elderly, veterans, single parents and male caregivers.

Our Five Pillars

Everything we do is organized around five pillars.

Healthy Families

Unity, material support, and crisis care for families when they need it most.

Whole-Person Wellness

HIV navigation, mental health resources, and holistic care — anonymous, free, and stigma-free.

Education & Excellence

Scholarships, youth health education, and HIV literacy.

Economic Empowerment

Small business support, technology funding, and financial literacy.

Technology & Innovation

Privacy-first digital tools and AI-powered delivery — the infrastructure that makes everything else possible.

Our important work includes:

Offering informational support services to underserved veterans, single parents (men and women) as well as children and families, informing them about healthy active lifestyle choices to improve their quality of life, and to connect them to community health and wellness resources.

Providing programs to communities that teach participants how to access specific health information for their families.

Disseminating information in health education/awareness, risk factor identification and screenings, public health policy initiatives, culturally competent healthcare and consumer issues.
